STUDENT INSURANCE REQUIREMENTS, ELIGIBILITY AND BILLING INFORMATION
REQUIREMENT
The University of Montana requires all students to have and maintain major medical insurance while attending the University. Distance students are not eligible for The University of Montana Student Health Insurance.
BILLING
Before you are able to select your classes you must complete the insurance election/waiver section on CyberBear. Distance students are not eligible for The University of Montana Student Health Insurance.
If you elect Blue Cross Blue Shield student insurance, you will be charged for the student insurance and will also pay the Curry Health Fee, regardless of the number of credits you elect. (Note:The Curry Health Fee is a mandatory fee at 7 or more credits.)

ELIGIBILITY
Students taking at least one state-supported class will be eligible for this insurance plan. Distance students are not eligible for The University of Montana Student Health Insurance.
ONLY ONE Selection CAN BE MADE VIA CYBERBEAR
To change insurance selection, Insurance Waiver forms or Insurance Re-enrollment forms are available at Student Health Insurance office located in Room 111 of the Curry Health Center. Waiver/purchase selection must be completed by Monday, September 21st, 2009.
Students should review the insurance coverage information, including deductibles, co-pay amounts, and benefit limitations. Information is available from the Student Insurance Office or on the web at http://www.umt.edu/curry/
CURRY HEALTH CENTER INFORMATION
CLINICAL SERVICE FEE
NOTE: Distance students are not eligible for Curry Health Center services.
- Students taking 7 or more credits are required to pay and are billed the Curry Health Fee.
- Students enrolled for 1-6 state-supported credits may choose to pay the Curry Health Fee (using CyberBear) if they wish to have full access to the Curry Health Center. Purchase of the Curry Health Fee must be completed by the 15th class day of the semester.
- Students enrolled for 1-6 credits who do not choose to pay the Curry Health Fee may be seen in the medical clinic on a fee-for-service basis. (Some restrictions apply).
Note: Students who drop below 7 state-supported credits prior to the 15th class of the semester will have their Curry Health Fee dropped and access to services will be based upon available options listed above.
SERVICES
- Medical (including lab, x-ray, specialists, and in-patient care), dental, counseling (including student assault recovery and drug/alcohol programs) health enhancement, and pharmacy services;
- Curry Health Center staff specialize in student health care needs;
- Open during evenings, nights, and weekends for urgent care during the academic term;
- Regular Office open between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. - call (406) 243-2122;
- Urgent care (medical, dental, counseling) service is available
NOTE: Curry Health Center is closed for clinical services between semesters.
